Current Ministry Projects

At present there are several on-going projects for the building up of the first generation of Christians from childhood to adulthood in Nepal:

1. Evangelism and church planting

3. Pastors conference and leadership seminars

4. Discipleship training through Bible colleges

5. Homes and Christian elementary, high school and college education for destitute orphan boys and girls

NEPAL COUNTRY OF HIMALAYAS

                          1769: Nepal becomes a unified nation state and a Hindu kingdom and 1846-1950: autocratic rule of rana family.1950: popular revolt succeeds in removing rana regime and introducing multi-party democracy with constitutional monarchy, 1960: king dissolves parliament removes elected prime minister, and bans political parties. There is no religious freedom, conversion is illegal, and Christians are harassed and imprisoned, 1975: king birendra crowned “divine emperor” of all Hindus, 1990: pro-democracy demonstrations establish multi-party parliament, forcing king to become constitutional monarch. PCON'S CURRENT WORK AND FOCUS

PCON has already developed three children homes, two schools, a central church campus with Bible college and has undertaken significant disaster relief efforts. It has been recognized by the Nepalese government for its work. Its current areas of focus are: orphan care, education, medical care, Bible training, evangelism, and church planting. Currently the ministry is working on the following initiatives:

  • IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT: Construction of Grace Bible College Building to educate 300 – 500 Students. See Construction Plan
  • Building orphan care homes for up to 1,000 children without families across Nepal
  • Expanding K-12 school facilities to educate an additional 350 – 1500 children in Kathmandu, East, and West Nepal
